At Times, We All Need Some Extra Support!


The standard session time for psychotherapy is 50-60 minutes.

*Non-Clinic Sessions/Phone Conversations (phone conversations are not billable to insurance) lasting more than 15 minutes are: $100 for 60 minutes. Fees for phone conversations over 60 minutes will be charged at $5 for every 10 minutes above the initial 60. All fees are due at time of service.

Out-of-Network Insurance:

Most insurance plans have out-of-network benefits with a separate deductible (out-of-network deductible). We will submit insurance claims to your insurance company on your behalf, which notifies the insurance company of fees that you have paid towards your out-of-network deductible. Once your deductible has been met, your out-of-network benefits will start, and generally your insurance will pay a reduced portion of the claim amount.

The Maplewood Wellness Center may be considered an “out-of-network” provider for other insurance companies. You are required to contact your insurance company prior to your first visit to verify that your treatment will be covered.

Any and all fees that are not covered by your insurance company are the responsibility of the client (per the Maplewood Wellness Center Policies).

Process for Making Initial/Intake Appointment:

The Maplewood Wellness Center is happy to work with you to either set up your initial appointment or coordinate time for you to have a 10-15 minute phone consultation with one of our therapists to answer any questions you may have.

Once your intake appointment has been made, a link to your Secure Client Portal is emailed to you. The Secure Client Portal enables you to complete all intake, policy and financial paperwork electronically (which usually takes 15-20 minutes) and receive appointment reminders. Reminders can be sent to you through email, text or both.The Maplewood Wellness Center requires all new clients complete the electronic intake, financial and policy forms at least 24 hours prior to their intake appointment.

In the event that you do not complete all of the required paperwork within 24 hours of your intake appointment, your therapist reserves the right to cancel and reschedule the intake appointment until paperwork is completed.

In the event that you no show or late cancel (cancel within in less than 24 hours) for your initial appointment, your therapist will not charge you.

 If you no-show or late cancel a second time for your initial appointment, you will not be able to reschedule until you pay the late cancel fee ($125) or no show fee ($150).

The Maplewood Wellness Center offer’s Fee-For Service-Rates, which is helpful for those who don’t have insurance or do not wish to use their insurance for mental health services.
